Lugares que amamos: Mazunte, Oaxaca.
Diary

Places we love: Mazunte, Oaxaca.

I am excited to share with you on this blog, one of my favorite places: Mazunte!!!

This last year is where I've spent the most time, let's say that out of the 8 months of the year, I've lived there for 4 months. I've been going for 8 years and from the first time I went I fell in love with the place; the sea, the sky, the moon, the stars, Punta Cometa, the community, the food, Mazunte is simply a place where I feel very much like myself, where I always return to connect with myself and with nature.

The days pass slowly, but you also realize that you've been in this place for a month and could be longer because it goes by so quickly, so rich, and it feels so good.

Mazunte is a small town located on the coast of the state of Oaxaca, Mexico, halfway between Puerto Escondido and Huatulco.

Even though the town is constantly changing, there are places that remain forever, this is a list of my favorites,

The best breakfasts are at La Mora Inn. I love ordering orange juice, scrambled eggs with green sauce, and for dessert, the best gluten-free waffles I've ever had! What better way to start the day?

The sea in Mazunte is beautiful, but you have to be careful when there's a current, as it can get quite rough. My favorite place to swim is Rinconcito Beach. I love to go in and just float while I watch the coast.

Then have a ceviche and a margarita or ginger soda at La Sombrita, where you can grab one of their board games, including ping pong, and also play backgammon.

Time stands still when you are in Mazunte having a good time. As for gastronomy, there are many options, whether you want to eat Italian food, pizza, French food, or Thai!
