Places we love: Mazunte, Oaxaca.

Lugares que amamos: Mazunte, Oaxaca.

I'm excited to share with you on this blog one of my favorite places: Mazunte!!!

This last year is where I've spent the most time. Let's say that out of the 8 months of the year, I've lived there for 4 months. I've been going for 8 years, and from the first time I went, I fell in love with that place; the sea, the sky, the moon, the stars, Punta Cometa, the community, the food. Mazunte is simply a place where I feel very much myself, where I always return to connect with myself and with nature.

Days pass slowly, but then you realize you've been here for a month and could stay longer because it went by so fast, so pleasantly, and it feels so good.

Mazunte is a small town located on the coast of the state of Oaxaca, Mexico, halfway between Puerto Escondido and Huatulco.

Although the town is constantly changing, there are places that remain forever. This is a list of my favorites.

The best breakfasts are at Posada La Mora. I love to order orange juice, scrambled eggs with green sauce, and for dessert, the best gluten-free waffles I've ever tasted! What a great way to start the day.

The sea in Mazunte is beautiful, but you have to be careful when there are currents, as the sea can get quite strong. My favorite place to swim is Rinconcito beach. I really like to go in and just float while watching the coast.

Afterward, a ceviche and a margarita or ginger soda at La Sombrita, where you can grab their board games, including ping pong, and also play backgammon.

Time stands still when you're having a good time in Mazunte. As for gastronomy, there are many options, whether you want Italian food, pizza, French food, or Thai!
